Improve concrete form release and reduce formwork cleanup with SpecChem SpecStrip Reactive Form Release Agent. Packaged in a 55-gallon drum, SpecStrip is a chemically reactive, mineral-oil-based release agent designed to help prevent fresh concrete from bonding to forms and form liners.
SpecStrip helps reduce concrete buildup, simplify form cleaning and protect steel forms against rust. When properly applied, it leaves concrete surfaces without unwanted residue, staining or discoloration, helping produce a smooth architectural finish.
Suitable for compatible wood, steel, aluminum, plastic and fiberglass forming surfaces, SpecStrip is a practical choice for concrete contractors, precast operations and commercial construction projects that require reliable form release performance.
Application Instructions
- Ensure form surfaces are clean and free of dirt, rust, scale and concrete buildup.
- Apply SpecStrip as supplied; do not dilute.
- Use an atomizing or misting spray tip to apply a thin, uniform film.
- Avoid over-application. Remove excess material or puddles promptly.
- Follow the current technical data sheet and safety data sheet for application, storage and handling requirements.
Important limitation: SpecStrip should not be used as a bond breaker in tilt-up construction. The manufacturer also specifies well-ventilated or exterior use and warns against exposure to fire or flames. Review current product safety documentation before use.
